So, today I was at work. I was assigned to work with a guy I hadn't worked with before. No problem there. I can work people of different backgrounds, cultures, races, religious beliefs, educational levels, etc., etc., etc.
But anyway. At one point the guy came over to me and asked me where I grew up and when did I graduate from high school.
So I told him that I grew up in Oakland and that I graduated from high school way back then. Honestly I didn't remember the year. I simply don't think about it anymore. If I really care I can look for my diploma and it will have the date. But I think it was in 1986.
As I sat here and watched some YouTube videos I wondered why he would ask me when had I graduated from high school. Then it dawned on me that he probably thought I was some type of high school drop out or simply someone with little or no education.
WTF! What an ass-hole!
The grand-buffoon obviously doesn't know that I'm a college graduate. I have a Bachelor's degree in business administration. I also have an Associate's degree in general studies and I have a second Associate's degree pending as I type this. When I tested for the position I'm in I ranked 8th place out of hundreds of applicants.
This coming Monday I'm going to ask him in front of everyone else why he asked me when did I graduate from high school. And then I'm going to ask him "Do you have a college degree? Because I have two and a third one pending. How about you?" Tee-hee!
