Fuck'n Tweakers II

This is the follow-up to my previous post.

I had been wondering what those machines that were confiscated were. I started to suspect that they were electronic gambling machines so I did a search for such machines. It turns out that the machines that were confiscated from next door looked a hell of a lot like electronic slot machines. Small ones about the size of cash registers, medium ones about the size of jukeboxes, and tall ones that looked like, well, tall electronic slot machines.

Damn! Those people had an illegal casino going on next door. The gambling and the drugs explains the constant in-and-out traffic all day, specially at night. I wonder what they had in mind next. Prostitution? That garbage is down the street.

Imagine that; drugs, gambling, and prostitution in the neighborhood.

On the News Tonight

Oakland Police Department executed a search warrant at a home in east Oakland. Five suspects were detained. Two were released and at least one was arrested.

The police confiscated six machines that appeared to be juke-boxes, video games, electronic gambling machines, cash registers, or ATMs. It was difficult to discern what the machines were. It certainly appears that the police knew about these machines because they brought along a box truck to carry away said machines.

Using a loud speaker the police notified the occupants of the house on the corner to come out with their hands in the air. The occupants began to come out one at a time. They were hand-cuffed and sat on the curb.

One woman remained in the house far longer than the others. The police repeatedly called her by name, told her they knew she was inside and ordered her to come out. After some time she came out, got hand-cuffed and joined the rest of the group.

It was at this point that the police went inside the home and began to carry out the machines. Loud hammering sounds could be heard coming from the house. It appears as if the machines had been secured to the interior of the house and the police had to loosen them.

Niece: That last woman was in there for hecka long.

Me: She was probably flushing the drugs down the toilet.

Sister: That's what they do.
