A Minor Bump in the Rump

A couple of weeks ago on my way home I got on the freeway on ramp. I was heading north on I880. It was a crowded and the metering lights were on.

I got distracted and accidentally rear-ended the car in front of mine. Mine has steel bumpers and the other had the usual plastic bumpers so even though it was just a minor bump in the rump I cracked the other guy's rear bumper.

We both stopped on the spot. I yelled to him to pull over to the side of the road so that we wouldn't continue to block traffic. He pulled over and I pulled over right behind him.

We both got out of the car. He was fuming. Immediately he began to demand to see my insurance.

"You better have full coverage!" He demanded.

I remained calm and collected. I have my insurance paperwork on my phone.

"Give me your number and I'll text it to you." I said.

"I wanna see your insurance!" He demanded.

"Give me your number and I'll text it to you." I repeated.

"You ain't got no insurance!" He retorted.

I realized he was being belligerent and not listening to reason so I finally told him I was going to call the police and have them deal with the situation. I began to walk back to my vehicle so I could call the police.

He got back into his car and fled the scene. The last words I heard him yell back at me were "I'll just tell them you didn't give me the information!" And he sped away.

A Drab Eary Astral Trip

Last night I had another lucid dream. It began as a normal dream, meaning my consciousness was asleep as I dreamed.

I was at work in the factory. I leaned over a rail and my hat came off my head and fell down to the level below the level I was on.

I walked downstairs to get my hat. I didn't have immediate access to the area where my hat had fallen so I called out to other workers in the area but no one answered my call. I walked around for a while until I found someone who works in the area where my hat fell. That person told me I would have to walk around and ask someone else on the other side. I proceeded to walk around the entire rectangular area until I realized I had walked too far. I turned back and began to retrace my steps. At some point I thought the place looked like a prison. It was at this point that I became aware I was dreaming. I stood there and became fully conscious. Once I realized I was in the astral I decided to go outside.

I found myself standing on a high ledge. I knew I was in the astral and I knew that in the astral we can float. I have done this many times in the past. So even though I was in a high ledge I jumped off knowing that my landing would be soft. And indeed it was. I came down to the ground below softly. For no particular reason I decided to jump again, knowing I would float a little and come down gently. I did so and confirmed to myself that I was in the astral. I'm not certain why I did it since I already knew I was in the astral.

As I walked outside I looked to the left and I could make out several multi-story buildings in the distance. They looked kind of drab. In fact the entire scene looked very drab. It was dark and it looked as if I was in a very large lot that was in the very early stages of construction. Like those empty lots where the ground is being leveled off (graded) to accommodate the coming foundation. There were several piles of well stacked bricks and flat stones nearby. I decided to climb over the stacked bricks and stones but realized that they were not very stable and could topple over quite easily so I came back down off the stacks of bricks and stones.

At this point I began to lose lucidity. I woke up and found myself back in my bed in my room.
