May Day

I was just sitting here in my room watching the news when I heard the news reporter say that the May Day marchers had left the Fruitvale District and were arriving at San Antonio Park. Immediately I heard the music and the chanting of the marchers. I rushed out to the porch to see the action.

Yep, sure enough the marchers were arriving. Now I know why I couldn't find any parking nearby when I got home.

They were a very lively crowd. I saw a young lady carrying two flags. One was the United Farm Workers' flag and the other was a flag which was both the US flag and the Mexican flag in one.

Nice, I got to have one of those!
