Mestizo II

I had my DNA tested approximately two years ago. The results came back showing what I expected to see. I'm Mestizo. That means I'm a mix of Spanish and Native American.

About a week ago I received an email from Ancestry.com saying that they found new discoveries for me. I clicked on the link and discovered that they had a short, brief, and MISLEADING historical account of Mestizos. According to Ancestry.com, the casta system in colonial Mexico consisted of four castas (castes), these castas, or social-economic classes were 1) Penisnsulares, 2) Creollos, 3) Mestizos, and 4) Indians.

Ancestry.com blatantly and incorrectly says that Indians were at the bottom of the casta system in colonial Mexico. Who do they think they are dealing with? They obviously do not know that I already did my own research into the casta system in colonial Mexico and I already discovered that Peninsulares, Creollos, and Mestizos held the three top tiers of the social-economic structure. Indians were NOT at the bottom of the casta system, it was blacks who were at the bottom of the casta system. The casta system was established as follows:
1. Peninsulares
2. Criollos
3. Mestizos
4. Mulatos
5. Indians
And below the Indians was a myriad of other castas, all the way down to the pure black, or African, who was at the very bottom.

The casta system was set up in a way that placed the individual with the most Spanish blood at the top. This is the reason why Mulatos (Spanish & Black) were fourth and the Indians were fifth in the system. A Mulato was half Spanish whereas an Indian had no Spanish. However, even an Indian was higher in the system than someone who was mixed with Black ( except for the Mulato who was half Spanish).

See my post "Mestizo," posted September 7, 2018.

Ancestry.com goes on to say that Mestizos and Indians were basically peones on the Spanish owned haciendas but failed to mention that Mestizos and Indians could not be enslaved under Spanish law. The Blacks and pure Africans on the other hand could, and often times were, enslaved.

Ancestry.com gets an "F" for their half-ass version of the casta system in colonial Mexico.

Magic Defined

"The Religion of the Ancient Magi, even those who found, and visited, the child Jesus; a combination of Religion, Science, and Philosophy; a system of training having to do with the whole man -- body, mind, and soul -- and recognizing man as a threefold being, a Trinity of body, mind, and soul.

This Trinity when perfectly developed, makes man one with God, and gives him the power of the Magi.

The Magi recognize each part of the threefold being as equal in importance one with the other. They recognize the body is as real and important as the mind, that the mind is as important as body and soul, and that soul is as important as the other two. They recognize that there can be no perfection in man so long as he depreciates the one or the other of his threefold nature, knowing that the power of the Magi comes only to the perfectly developed man."

Floating in Space

Last night I had a series of dreams. At one point I became lucid and was aware that I was in the astral again. So to test if I was really in the astral I gave a little jump again and sure enough I floated. But interestingly this time I did not come back down again. I remained floating in the air.

This surprised me quite a bit. WTF! I thought to myself. I'm not coming down as I usually do. I simply floated in air, or space. I wiggled myself so as to loosen myself from whatever was causing me to remain afloat and eventually I came back to the ground. It seems that all that wiggling around interrupted my lucidity and I woke up in the physical shortly after coming back to the ground in the astral. During my short stay in the astral as I looked around I could make out that the sky was bright and sunny. I could see a few white puffy clouds in the sky but I couldn't make out where I was.

Interestingly last week I had a similar experience. As I lay in bed to go to sleep I became aware of that point between vigil and sleep. I consciously made the effort to get up in the astral and found myself in empty space. There was absolutely nothing there. I felt the sensation of floating so I made the motion as to swim to the surface as if I were underwater. I used my arms to propel myself upwards. I didn't reach any surface. Instead I found myself simply floating in empty, pitch black, space. As I floated there I suddenly saw strange symbols circling around me. They were moving from right to left. The symbols were of different colors, some were green, some were yellow, some were blue, some were red, etc. They were not very sharp. The images looked sort of fuzzy and the colors were not very vivid but I could definitely see the images and the colors. It's as if I was in the center of these figures and the figures were circling, rotating, around me from right to left.
