Wild Fires

California has quite a few wild fires each year. It's just the way it is. It's the way nature clears much of its unnecessary growth.

Unfortunately sometimes people's homes get in the way.

There have been several wild fires going on simultaneously here in Northern Cali. I can smell the smoke here in east Oakland. It's hazy outside. It's smoky. The wind has been blowing smoke here into the East Bay.

I remember a huge wild fire that occurred about twenty years ago. I was in Ione Cali at the time. I remember walking out of the lodge. The setting sun gave the smoky, hazy air a red appearance. As I looked around, everything appeared to me as if I was seeing the world through red lens.

The scene indeed looked apocalyptic.
