I went to the court house again for some certified docs. The same cat who was there the previous time was there again. As I waited for him to process my request I asked "Who updates my records with the California DOJ?"
"We do it automatically" he said. "The DOJ has its own time frame for updating their records," he said. "But we send them the information automatically."
Hm? I thought. So they can basically take their time. There's no rush for them to update anyone's records. But if we contact them they will typically get to it.
So basically I have to get on their asses about it and they may expedite it.
I already suspected that.
Sure, when I was arrested for the first time the DOJ immediately created a file for me. When I was subsequently arrested again the DOJ immediately updated my files to reflect every single arrest.
However, when I won or had a case dismissed the DOJ wasn't so quick to update my file. In actuality I'm going through a lot of excess bullshit to get the DOJ to UPDATE MY FILES AND SHOW THAT MY CASE WAS DISMISSED! Damn! California DOJ gets two Fs!
"How about the FBI?" I asked. "They get their info from the DOJ," he said.
Damn. So the bottle neck is with the California DOJ. It is they who are not updating my file and as a result the FBI is NOT having its files updated!
Well, that's exactly why I went to the court house today. I got certified copies showing the dismissed case. I also got a fingerprint card and I'm sending those to the FBI. Those are the docs the FBI asks for and those are the docs I'm providing. The FBI will now need to put pressure on the DOJ to update their records.
Damn! The DOJ gets three Fs!

Dark Day for the U.S.
Sitting here watching the news, again. A story regarding Trump's recent meeting with Putin was on. Trump's pathetic handling of the meeting was being scrutinized. Political science professor M. Stephen Fish, PhD, referred to yesterday as a dark day for the United States. At least twice he referred to it as a dark day for the United States.
I laughed. I had referred to the day Trump was elected President as Black Tuesday. See my post dated November 9, 2016. In fact, I began this blog the day after Black Tuesday and specifically to express my opposition to Trump's election.
Has anything changed since then? Actually yes. Believe it or not, I have more respect for the Republican party than I did previously. I referred to the Republican controlled House and Senate as the repugnitant house of representatives and the repugnitant senate. But now, almost two years later I have seen that the Republican party does not necessarily hold the same bigoted views that Trump holds. In fact many actually oppose Trump's B.S., specially his attacks on Mexico and immigrants.
In all sincerity, the Republican party has redeemed itself in my eyes. Trump is still the big loser.

And always will be.

Carnitas on the Fourth
This past 4th of July was pretty good. I made carnitas for all of us. My brothers and their wives came over. My sisters and their husbands came over. Some friends came over and the children came over.
It was a very nice, sunny, and very warm day. How can I go wrong with carnitas, a traditional Mexican dish, on the 4th of July, the United State's independence celebration. After all, we are all Mexican-American, or American of Mexican ancestry.
Yep, carnitas, Michoacan style, on the 4th of July! It was awesome.
That evening I looked up at the moon. It was on it's last quarter. Somewhere below it and to the right I could see a very bright object. I wasn't sure if it was a star or a planet. It was large and bright. I'll have to look into a sky chart for that date and my location to find out what it was.
