Carnitas on the Fourth

This past 4th of July was pretty good. I made carnitas for all of us. My brothers and their wives came over. My sisters and their husbands came over. Some friends came over and the children came over.

It was a very nice, sunny, and very warm day. How can I go wrong with carnitas, a traditional Mexican dish, on the 4th of July, the United State's independence celebration. After all, we are all Mexican-American, or American of Mexican ancestry.

Yep, carnitas, Michoacan style, on the 4th of July! It was awesome.

That evening I looked up at the moon. It was on it's last quarter. Somewhere below it and to the right I could see a very bright object. I wasn't sure if it was a star or a planet. It was large and bright. I'll have to look into a sky chart for that date and my location to find out what it was.

  1. I generated a natal chart for July 4, 2018, at 9:00 pm, for my location. I saw that the moon was at 00 degrees in Aries. It had just entered Aries and it was not in conjunction with any planets. So the object had to be a star. I'll have to look at a star chart now.
