Ruger 10/22

This past Monday I picked up my new Ruger 10/22 Takedown rifle. The barrel and action are stainless steel. The rifle is taken apart where the action and barrel join.

It came with a standard black stock.

I changed the stock to a mossy oak cammo stock.

Mexico in the Astral

As I wrote in a previous post, I returned from Mexico on Thursday. I had spent a week there.

Friday morning I had a dream and another astral projection experience.

In my dream I was in a house. It was me, my cousin, and a woman whom I do not know. We were sitting on the sofa in the living room. There was a television in front of us but I do not remember it being on. I had headphones on and was listening to music. Even with my headphones on I could here the woman singing along. I wondered how she could be singing along so I took the headphones off and realized that the same music was being played through a speaker. That's how she was singing along with the music I was listening to.

At some point we left the house and went to the store. I recognized it as a store I had actually went to with my cousin when I was visiting Mexico. At the store I walked ahead of them. I walked into the store ahead of them.

In the store I was walking along the walkway, or aisles. There were some shelves to my left. I saw a lot of people. It looked like a store I had been to.

Suddenly I became aware that I was in the astral. I became lucid. As I concentrated on my lucidity my experience became clearer. I knew full well that I was in the astral and I didn't really need to reassure myself but I decided to give a little jump just to see if I would float. Indeed I floated. I reached the ceiling and gently began to come back down. I landed on top of the shelves that were to my left.

I could see people at the store looking at me. I got off the shelves on the right side. I walked a short distance and I peered around the shelf case. At this point I began to loose my lucidity. As I gently lost my lucidity I felt myself gently returning to the physical world again. Fully awake I found myself laying in my bed in my room.

Revisiting Mexico in the astral was a magical experience.

Fuck'n Jerks

Jerks. That's exactly what the authors of that article are. See my post "Best and Worst Places," dated November 30, 2020.

I personally went to Mexico and I know from my own personal experience that Mexico is doing way better than the United States in this pandemic. And I'm certain that it's doing way better than those Asian countries listed by those three jerks at Bloomberg.

Fuck those three jerks and fuck Bloomberg editors for allowing that article to be published.

Back from Mexico

I returned from Mexico a few days ago. I made it back just in time. As of Friday, anyone leaving the Bay Area is required to quarantine for 10 days upon returning. I returned Thursday, so I'm good to go. But I'm still following the stay-at-home mandate here where I live.

I really enjoyed my trip to Mexico City. I visited family and spent a great week with my favorite cousin. I had already told her that I did not want to go to any tourist place. I had absolutely no desire for tourists.

"I want to spend a week there. I want to go just to the places where ordinary Mexicans go to. I want to go to the same restaurants, the same stores, the same places that Mexicans go to," I said to her. I did not want to go where tourists go to. I'm not a tourist. I'm family.

It was awesome. She took me out to local restaurants. We went to local shopping centers. I spent a week living just like ordinary Mexicans live.

At restaurants and stores we had to wipe our shoes before entering. We had to wear our face masks. Our temperatures were checked and we were instructed to disinfect our hands with disinfecting gel before entering. We followed all the rules and all went well.

Eventually my week in paradise ended. I had to return to reality.

Thursday morning my cousin, her son, and another of my nephews dropped me off at the airport. We had breakfast together, I said goodbye to them and returned home.

Best and Worst Places

A few days ago I read an article about the best and worst places to be in during the Covid pandemic.

Strangely I saw that Asian countries occupied many of the top places, along with some European countries. I scrolled all the way to bottom just to see what countries faired the worst, according to some authors with Asian sounding names like Rachel Chang, Jinshan Hong and one European sounding name like Kevin Varley.

Way down there at the bottom of the list I saw Mexico.

https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/covid-resilience-ranking/

WTF! Mexico did much better than many of those countries listed as being the best. I looked to see where the United States ranked and I saw that it was somewhere in the middle. Now why would it be in the middle when per capita it had WAY more cases than Mexico. And despite the fact that the pandemic started in China the authors ranked China as number eight.

Fuck all three of you authors and your bullshit ranking.  It's quite evident that two Asians and a White created that list. And it's quite obvious that all three are biased. And fuck Bloomberg for allowing that article to be published.

Mexico did way better than many of those countries they ranked higher. In fact I'm on my way to Mexico very soon. NOT to any of those countries they ranked higher on the list. Let us not forget that Avian Flu, Sars, and Covid ALL came from Asian countries. Now publish that, bitches!

No Need to Fret

Well, after the disappointing experience in trying to acquire a Colt M4 Carbine (see my previous post) I concluded that "all's well that ends well."

I did get my full refund and I actually already have a Smith and Wesson M&P 15 rifle. See my post dated August 14, 2019. At the end of the day, the M&P 15 and the M4 Carbine serve the same purpose.

So, now that I have my money back I'm considering what to get next. I've had my eyes on a Ruger 10/22 and a Henry 45-70 Government. Now I'm also considering an AK-47. Hm? What am I going to choose next?

Bummer

 Yeah, it was a bummer.

About two weeks ago I purchased a Colt M4 Carbine. It was supposed to be a California compliant carbine.

I paid the $2,200 dollars to the dealer and then waited patiently for news regarding its delivery. After a week I called the dealer and all I got was a bunch of inconsistent bullshit.

At one point he said he had emailed my FFL and was waiting to get my FFL's license info. I decided to contact my FFL and give him a heads-up that the carbine dealer was trying to reach him. I also passed to him the dealer's phone number. My FFL then contacted me and said he had spoken to the dealer and given him the necessary info.

I waited a few days for an update from the dealer and when I didn't receive one I called him again.

Again he began to give me bullshit about why the carbine hadn't been shipped.

Goddamn it. I was fed up with his bullshit! I demanded a refund. Again he gave me bullshit about how it would take seven to ten days to process.

WTF!

"When I paid you it didn't take seven to ten days. You got the money immediately!" I said to him.

"Alright I'll refund you the money." He said.

Sure enough he complied. Almost immediately afterwards I checked my bank account and saw that the refund was in process. SWEEEET!

But before we ended the call he reminded me that I could not get that M4 Carbine anywhere else.

"Well, I wasn't getting it from you neither. So, no loss right?" I thought to myself.

I walked up to the plate and paid the price and my hopes were up for getting a Colt M4 Carbine. The dealer didn't follow through. So yeah, that was a bummer.

True Tyrani

So why is it taking so long for the new president to be determined?

As far back as I can remember we have never been in such a situation.

The president was recognized immediately.

Nowadays we have a dictator in office. And he does not want to be removed.

He is using all the tactics that he has already used on his contractors.

He hires them to build his projects.

And when the projects are complete he sues them.

He declares that they were not built to "his" specifications.

With the money that he has he stomps to the ground his adversaries.

My Edumacation

So, today I was at work. I was assigned to work with a guy I hadn't worked with before. No problem there. I can work people of different backgrounds, cultures, races, religious beliefs, educational levels, etc., etc., etc.

But anyway. At one point the guy came over to me and asked me where I grew up and when did I graduate from high school.

So I told him that I grew up in Oakland and that I graduated from high school way back then. Honestly I didn't remember the year. I simply don't think about it anymore. If I really care I can look for my diploma and it will have the date. But I think it was in 1986.

As I sat here and watched some YouTube videos I wondered why he would ask me when had I graduated from high school. Then it dawned on me that he probably thought I was some type of high school drop out or simply someone with little or no education.

WTF! What an ass-hole!

The grand-buffoon obviously doesn't know that I'm a college graduate. I have a Bachelor's degree in business administration. I also have an Associate's degree in general studies and I have a second Associate's degree pending as I type this. When I tested for the position I'm in I ranked 8th place out of hundreds of applicants.

This coming Monday I'm going to ask him in front of everyone else why he asked me when did I graduate from high school. And then I'm going to ask him "Do you have a college degree? Because I have two and a third one pending. How about you?" Tee-hee!

Protesters In Portland

Today I read an article regarding some protesters in Portland, Oregon.

https://news.yahoo.com/protesters-knock-down-roosevelt-lincoln-073451782.html

Evidently they toppled over statues of former Presidents Roosevelt and Lincoln presumably for their hostility towards Native Americans.

As I read that article I wondered how many of those protesters are Native American or at least have a significant amount of Native American in their background. I'm going to venture to say that very few, if any!

I'm approximately half Native American and half European, mostly Iberian (Spanish/Portuguese). To be exact, I'm 42% Native, 42% European, about 2% - 5% North African and the rest is undefined. For all practical purposes and intents I'm Mestizo, as described by Jose Vasconcelos in "La Raza Cosmica." It is from this notion of Mestizo and La Raza Cosmica that the name of my blog comes from.  Raza Nueva means New Race - a new culture, a new people.

Espanol Yndia Serrana...Produce Mestizo

(Spanish and Indian produce Mestizo)

I'm Mestizo, I'm a mix of Native American and White European. I'm a member of the new race, the new culture, the people, born when the white conquistadors intermixed with the native population. If anyone has anything to say about Christopher Columbus it should be me and my people, not those violent, destructive, anarchist protesters.

If anyone has gripes against Roosevelt and Lincoln for their hostility towards Native Americans it should be me and my people, not those protesters.

The world can rest assured that those protesters do not represent me! They do not speak for me! I do not need their assistance in any way, form, nor fashion. Those protesters are just violent and destructive anarchists. All they want is a reason to carry out their destructive behavior.

Marie Antoinette

Marie Antoinette was not French. She was born November 2, 1755 in Vienna, Austria. She was born to Maria Theresa, empress of Austria and Holy Roman Emperor Francis I.

She was pledged to marry Louis-Auguste, the future King Louis XVI.

Their reign didn't go down in history very well. She was beheaded by the Revolutionary Tribunal. This is the same revolution led by Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary tribunal ended the French Monarchy.

Napoleon, as I have written in previous posts, is the weak link in the chain. It was Napoleon who sold the Louisiana Territory to the fledgling United States in 1803. Napoleon did not even lift a finger to fight for France's territories. He straight away signed on the dotted line and handed the Louisiana Territory to the U.S.

See my post "Cinco de Mayo," dated May 5, 2017.

Marie Antoinette was beheaded by the Revolutionary Tribunal. The French Monarchy ended and Napoleon took power, he sold out to the United States and the French and Spanish Empire in the New World ended.

Marie Antoinette is the one credited for the phrase "Let them eat cake."

Dark Day

The California fires we have been having these last several weeks are really taking their toll on our atmosphere.

I slept in today. First I woke up around 6:30 am but decided that I didn't really want to get up. So I simply rolled over and fell asleep again. Damn! I slept another six hours! When I woke up again it was a little past 12:30 pm.

It was mid-day but as I looked around my room I noticed that it was dark. As if it was just before sunrise. I looked at the window and noticed that it was dark. It definitely didn't look as if it was mid-day.

I immediately got out of bed and went to the window and pulled open the curtains. Wow! It was dark and grey outside. I had to see this so I got dressed and rushed out the door to the porch. I looked around and saw that the sun was not even visible through the overcast and smoke.

Here in the Bay Area overcast skies are common but enough sunlight makes it through so that the day isn't dark. But today was different. Due to the smoke from the northern California fires the day was exceptionally dark.

French in My Background

After taking a couple of DNA tests it turns out that I do indeed have some French in my background.

Not very much.

Mostly I have way more Native American and Spanish.

But somehow through my maternal lineage I'm distantly related to Marie Antoinette.

This doesn't surprise me. I knew that the French indeed made it into Mexico. That they somehow made it into my family I did not know.

But circumstances weren't always favorable to them.

See my posts:

Cinco de Mayo, posted May 5, 2017
Friday the 13th & A Full Moon September, posted 13, 2019

One day I and my brother in-law were talking about Mexican history. I brought up the subject of how the French had made the New World Anglo Saxon.

Later I found out that he was about 15% French.

Last year I went to Mexico for the very first time in about 40 years.

See my posts:

"Off to Mexico, I went," and "The Cemetery," posted January 17, 2020

I had the opportunity to see my favorite cousin again. In one of our conversations she said that she is part French.

WTF!!!!!

I eventually had the opportunity to have a beautiful conversation with her. And she confirmed to me that she indeed is part French.

This all left me dumbfounded.

After all the crap that I said about France it turns out that I have relatives with a French background and that I myself am distantly related to Marie Antoinette.

You gotta see my next post "Marie Antoinette."

Ruger American

After waiting, it seems like forever, I picked up my latest firearm. A Ruger American bolt action rifle with Wolf camo. It's chambered in .30-06 Springfield. Four rounds in the magazine plus one in the chamber. Sweeeet.

I'm really looking forward to give deer hunting a try.

You Don't Have a Leg to Stand On

I have been reading articles relating to Biden's possible running mate.

At first it was Kamala Harris. I'm very familiar with her. She hails straight outta Frisco.

And more recently it's been Tammy Duckworth. An Iraq veteran who lost both of her legs.

I also read an article that said that she had been asked if she was in favor of erasing Washington's image because he owned slaves.

Her answer was "Yes."

What the duck!!!!!!!

Does she consider herself better than Washington? Seriously, does she? Otherwise, why would she see herself fit enough to decide if Washington's image should be erased?

Goddamn it! Washington was a general during the war against Great Britain. It was he who led the Continental army against one of the most powerful nations of his time, Great Britain. And he WON! He succeeded! And because of that win this great country was established! The United States of America! I'm a citizen of it! It was George Washington's bravery and his army who defeated one of the world's greatest powers, Great Britain.

Duckworth, do you really consider yourself greater than him? Well do you? If not, why would you be in favor of erasing his image?

Did you not lose your legs fighting for this country? The same country that was born when George Washington won.

He's the father of this country. The country you supposedly fought for. The country you presumably became a citizen of.

Why would you be in favor of erasing his image?

You don't have a leg to stand on!

Get Away From Me

Over the weekend I had a dream. I was in some place that looked like an auditorium. I saw rows of seats rising from the base upwards.

Some of us had fine leather jackets.

I had one. I draped it over the hand rail at the base. I heard a woman say "Everyone, pick up your leather jackets and put them away." So I walked over to where my jacket was and retrieved it.

Near my jacket was a woman. She looked very much like Laura Coates, the author of the article "Why isn't Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill Yet?"

https://www.cnn.com/2020/06/28/opinions/why-isnt-harriet-tubman-on-20-bill-yet-coates/index.html

I walked over and retrieved my jacket. As I did I heard her say "Get away from me."

Whaaaaat! Does this clown think I give a fart about her? "You piece of shit," I thought to myself.

I woke up immediately afterwards. I recollected my dream very well and was disgusted at the thought that she would even say "get away from me" to me.

Bitch, you don't need to tell me to get away from you, I run from you like the devil flees holy water. All you'd have to do is smile at me and I'd look away. YOU ARE NOT MY TYPE! I only came near you to retrieve my leather jacket.

So, do you understand why I was so disgusted when that woman said "get away from me" in that weekend dream?

Modern Day Book Burners

Modern day book burners. That's what I think of those rioters destroying public images and artifacts.

Book burners, the world has never rid itself of them. They come in all shapes and forms, beliefs and ideologies. Book burners are fanatics who will burn the books that contain beliefs, ideologies, philosophies, etc. contrary to the book burners'. History that they don't like is included too. If they do not like some aspect of history they seek to erase it. And that's exactly what these modern day book burners are doing today. They are trying to erase a side, an aspect, of history which they do not like.

Those statues, whether liked or disliked are historical and should be preserved. This includes the confederate flag. That flag should also be preserved for historical purposes. Let it stand where it stands you goddamn modern day book burners!

LET ALL OF OUR HISTORICAL ARTIFACTS STAND WHERE THEY STAND YOU GODDAMN BOOK BURNER!

You're not doing society a favor by destroying historical artifacts. You're destroying our history you piece of shit. If you get destroyed it will be perfectly legit.

To Hell with Harriet Tubman

A couple of weeks ago me and my brother-in-law were at the dinner table talking about current issues. We discussed the recent desecration of historical images and artifacts. We talked about mobs of rioters toppling over and destroying statues of Christopher Columbus, Junipero Serra and others. About how the confederate flag is being villainized for its history.

"While all this is going on the native Americans are hardly even mentioned," I said to him.

Despite that the native Americans were the first inhabitants of these lands, they are being tossed to the curb by the media while it props up the African Americans into the national and even the world lime-light.

"Did you know there were talks about removing the image of Andrew Jackson from the twenty dollar bill and replacing it with an image of Harriet Tubman?" I asked him.

I don't believe he knew about it, so I talked to him about it.

Andrew Jackson was an Indian hater. He was around during the time when the United States was having its Indian wars. Indians and white colonizers had being fighting for quite some time. And during one of those incidents some Indians killed  members of Jackson's family. This imbued Jackson with hate and desire for revenge against Indians. During his presidency he was responsible for the slaughter of many Indians.

So when any discussion is taking place about replacing Andrew Jackson's image, the native American makes a much better replacement than Harriet Tubman. Andrew Jackson was known as Indian Killer, not African Killer. So if his image is to be replace on the twenty dollar bill it should be replaced by a native American not an African American.

Last week I found this article online: https://www.cnn.com/2020/06/28/opinions/why-isnt-harriet-tubman-on-20-bill-yet-coates/index.html

I felt it was apropos to make this post in reply to that article.

So, Why isn't Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill Yet? BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T BELONG THERE, THAT'S WHY!

What A Pity II

What is so pitiful is that Latinos are being duped into the notion that Queen Isabella could even hold a position as low as Christopher Columbus'.

It is true that she financed Columbus' expeditions to the New World but she did not authorize nor condone Columbus' horrific acts. Columbus committed those acts in violation of orders from the Spanish Crown and the Catholic Church. Columbus is guilty of his crimes, Queen Isabella is not guilty of those crimes.

What a pity that so many Latinos are being duped into believing that Queen Isabella was a wrong doer. She was a devout Catholic and she and the Catholic Church offered protection to the natives, and because of these two, today's Latinos exist.

For a Latino to hate the Catholic Church and or Queen Isabella I of Castillo is to hate himself.

Thursday, June 18, 2020

What A PIty

It's such a pity that a statue of Queen Isabella I of Castile is being removed from California's Capitol Rotunda.

For many years there has been talk about removing images of Christopher Columbus. He's not very popular among natives nor among many Hispanic/Latino people. He is credited with slaughtering natives, introducing diseases and enslaving natives. He has a general image of having been cruel to the native populations.

Much less is known about Queen Isabella. Just about all that the majority of people know about her is that she funded Columbus' voyages to the New World. But there's much more to her than what contemporary history books in schools say about her.

She was known as "La Catolica," and as "Protector of the Indians." She was a devout catholic who would spend lengthy times kneeling in prayer. It's for this reason that she was called The Catholic.

She also made laws that protected the Indians. When Christopher Columbus took several natives as slaves to Queen Isabella, she ordered that they be released. During her reign she also ordered that the native Americans were not to be enslaved. She also spared them the trials of the Holy Inquisition, which was rampant in Europe, because she regarded them as children. She also ordered that Indians were to be treated fairly. And before her death she requested that her successors enforce those orders.

She also refused to send Spanish women to the New World and ordered the Spanish soldiers to marry the native women. It is from this mix of the Spanish conquistador and the Native American woman that the majority of today's Hispanics/Latinos descend from. Hispanics/Latinos of today are who they are in great part due to her and the Catholic Church. They are neither pure Native American nor pure White, they are a mix of those two. DNA results prove this.

It's a pity that the queen who was instrumental in the creation of many new nations and people in the New World is being lumped in along with Christopher Columbus. Her image will be removed along with Columbus'.

Nationwide Protests and My Personal Safety

Undoubtedly many of you have heard about the protesting and rioting stemming from a police incident in Minneapolis.

To be honest, I was barely aware that protests were occurring. Truth be said, as long as that shit doesn't come to me I couldn't care less.

Well today I was discussing the matter with a coworker. He said he had his "thing" with him in case something happened. He had seen news footage where protesters had stopped traffic and had actually damaged property, assaulted, and traumatized people. He mentioned how he had seen protesters stop and harassed a woman and her children.

WTF?! Now what does a woman and children have to do with what happened in Minneapolis? Absolutely NOTHING! Except that maybe she was white.

Well, I thought he was over-reacting regarding him having his "thing" with him in case he was stopped by and or harassed by protesters.

Well, yes I thought he was over-reacting until I had an incident with some vile, zit-scarred, rotten-toothed AFRICAN-AMERICAN earlier today.

I was on my way home from work and I needed to stop for some business before I continued home. I arrived near the Fruitvale BART station in east Oakland. I went to the ATM and took out some cash. Then I continued to a nearby restaurant so I could take something home for dinner.

There was a small demonstration occurring that I was unaware of. I decided to simply take care of my business and be on my way.

So after taking care of my personal business I walked to my car, got in, and slowly began to pull out of my parking spot. Suddenly in my side mirror I saw a small car come speeding behind me. I was already mostly out of my parking spot so I continued to pull out. This forced the zit-scarred, rotten toothed AFRICAN-AMERICAN to stop suddenly. The bitch pulled up next to me, got out of her car and yelled something to me.

Ugly ass bitch I yelled to her. Well, she didn't take it kindly. She went ape-shit. As I drove away she wanted to play chicken with her car and got out of her car several times. I got tired of her shit so after a while I gave her a piece of my mind up to and including calling her a goddamn nigger.

Her jaw dropped but what could she do, basically nothing. At one point I saw her and she appeared to be on her phone.

Whaaaaat?! Is she calling her posse? Is she gonna get some more niggers after me?

This left me thinking that maybe my coworker was not over-reacting. Maybe everyone should carry their "thing" just in case they get harassed by some rabid protester or some African-American going ape-shit.

I'm pro-2nd-amendment and pro-1st-amendment.

The zit-scarred, rotten-toothed African-American harassed me because she was speeding and was forced to suddenly stop. Well, I'm in the right because I chose to exercise my 1st amendment and call her an ugly bitch and a goddamn nigger. And if her posse had come after me I would be in the right for exercising my 2nd amendment.

One Two Three

One two three, the TRA in Tetragrammaton. The Trinity.

Sometimes interpreted as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Also, Father, Mother and Son. Osiris, Isis and Horus.

It is also the three-fold being of the Chaldeans, magicians. The three Magi who came to the baby Jesus, the Nazarene. See "Magical Day," posted January 6, 2019 and "Magic Defined," posted February 16, 2019.

Man is tri-fold. Body, Mind, and Soul. We cannot neglect the one without harming the other two. We are not all body, nor are we all mind, nor are we all soul. We are Body, Mind, and Soul. We are a trinity. This is the 1 the 2 and the 3 in the Tetragrammaton.

Two Temples

In this beautiful great world of ours there are really only two temples.

The White Temple, AKA The Great White Lodge, The Great White Brotherhood, the Brotherhood of Light. And the Black Temple, AKA The Black Lodge, the Black Brotherhood, or The Brotherhood of Darkness.

These are the 1 and the 2 in the Tetragrammaton. The law of duality. The "T" and the "E."

In our physical world the law of duality runs supreme. There's up and down, inside and outside, hot and cold, yes and no. The 1 and 0 of the digital world. This is the law of duality. The T and the E in TEtragrammaton. The 1 and the 2.

Lot Lizard

Many many years ago I had a job as a gas station attendant. Actually I was a truck stop attendant.

This meant that I worked at a truck stop. You know, one of those places where trucks stop to refuel and truckers get to rest.

One night as I was walking among the parked big rigs I noticed some of them had a sticker that read "No Lot Lizards."

Completely ignorant of the issue I asked someone "What's a lot lizard?"

"It's a prostitute. A prostitute that slithers around truck stops," was the reply.

Alrighty then. Lot lizards are truck stop hookers.

Happy St. Patrick's

It's that day again. In the past I have cooked corned beef with cabbage. So, it looks like I'll do it again.

I'll throw some carrots in also.

I'll also serve some type of Irish bread. That's if the bread shelves haven't been emptied out again.

Our backyard turns lush and green every spring. I'm sure I can find some clovers to make a bouquet. So we'll have a lush green bouquet as a centerpiece.

Doomsday Preppers II

A week ago I read an article about a gun store somewhere in southern California. It had seen a recent surge in gun sales due to the corona virus scare. Many of the stores buyers were of Chinese descent. They were worried of being targeted for the corona virus threat because it originated in China.

Yesterday I read an article about a surge in gun and ammunition sales not just to Chinese but to the public in general. The public was worried of possible looting, assaults and whatever else happens during doomsday so they were preparing.

What took them so long to prepare?! Damn! It took a doomsday scenario for them to exercise their 2nd Amendment. They should not have waited for a doomsday scenario to realize how valuable their 2nd Amendment is. It was put there for a reason. PROTECT YOURSELF!!!!!!

As the old adage goes, "I'd rather have one and not need it, than to need one and not have it."

See my post "AR-15" posted August 14, 2019. I don't have to wait for doomsday, I have the right to own one, and I have one.

I would rather have one and not need it, than to need one and not have it. End of story!

Doomsday Preppers

Unbelievable, absolutely unbelievable.

The panic that has been created world-wide is absolutely unbelievable. The prepper's worst night mare is actually just around the corner. It's on the horizon.

For many years I have known of doomsday preppers. I've known of people building shelters, long term food and water storage, etc.

Sure, there will be a day when they will need it, I thought. But not anytime soon.

Over the weekend I went to the grocery market. I wanted some sandwich materials so I could make my sandwiches for lunch. I got the smoked turkey, the sliced cheese and then headed to the bread aisle.

WTF! To my surprise the shelves were completely empty! Absolutely empty! All the shelves of the entire bread aisle were empty!

This is when I realized that the corona virus panic was very real. Not to me. But to the rest of society.

Over the previous few days I had seen people buying large amounts of items at the stores.

Nervous people, I thought to myself. I thought it was just a couple of weirdos. But when I saw the entire bread aisle empty I realized that the corona virus panic was very real. Not to me of course, but to other people. A lot of other people.

I simply went to my neighborhood store and got the bread I wanted.

Today at work one of my coworkers and I were talking about the current situation when we got the news that the job site may be closing down due to the corona virus panic.

WTF! I've heard of doomsday preppers for years but I never thought I would actually see the doomsday in my life time, I said to him.

He laughed.

People were really stock piling food and other items for the impending gloom. And now our job site was closing until further notice. WTF! I fuck'n swear, I never would have guessed that the doomsday scenario would be played out in my life!

357 Magnum

Over the weekend I picked up my Ruger SP101 .357 Magnum revolver. It's an awesome handgun. Stainless steel with rubber grip with wood inlay. It can also fire .38 Special +P cartridges.

That is so fuck'n awesome!

The Cemetery

The town's local cemetery is just a couple of blocks down the street from our home. Many of my old relatives are buried there. My grandparents from my mother's side. Uncles, aunts, and cousins. Some of them immigrated all the way to Oakland, Cali, USA. And upon their death, their last wish was to be returned to their mother land. That little quaint town out in the middle of nowhere. Their wishes were fulfilled and their bodies were returned to be buried in that local cemetery.

"Let's go to the cemetery, I want to see my mother," said my mother to me one morning.

"OK, let's go" I replied. And we set off to the cemetery. Down towards the cemetery the road was once again cobble stone and dusty.

We entered the cemetery and slowly walked around the sepulchers, tombstones, and grave markers. As we walked through the cemetery I saw the names of many known relatives, all now resting in peace. My mother stopped at several and said a prayer as I walked around the cemetery.

After a while we walked back to our home. As I walked in through the front gate I felt a pebble stuck to the bottom of my shoe. I picked it out. It was one of those stones from the cemetery. Not wanting to bring anything home from the cemetery I flicked it over the wall and out onto the street.

May the deceased rest in peace. My roots are so fuck'n deep in this small quaint town out in the middle of nowhere.

Off to Mexico, I Went

Around mid December I took my first real vacation in many, many years.

It had been forty years since I had been to my mother land so I took this opportunity to go back to Mexico and see it. I really wanted to see what it looked like after forty years.

Well, some things haven't changed at all. And some things have certainly changed. The small town from where most of my family hails from has seen many improvements. The first thing I noticed is that it now boasts many, many new houses. The old cobble stone roads are now paved. The old dirt road that led out of the small barrio to the main road is also paved.

The new houses have electricity, sewage, and water systems. They also have modern amenities such as the internet. This is in sharp contrast to the old adobe houses that used to line the cobble stone roads. Old adobe homes with only electricity and no modern amenities.

But some things have not changed. And I really don't want them to change.

It's still a small rural town out in the middle of nowhere. Even Google maps missed it. In my opinion that's fabulous! Great! Keep it off the map! The last thing I want to see is a flood of outsiders rushing to that small quaint town.
