Half Moon Bay

Today I made a trip to Half Moon Bay. It's a small town in the southern portion of the San Francisco peninsula. I went to the small nursery where I purchased my venus fly-trap and my sundew plants.

I could've ordered my pitcher plants online but I really wanted to take the trip and visit the nursery in person, so this morning I got into my car and made the trek to the nursery.

The woman who was there was very helpful and knowledgeable. I got some very useful information from her and I purchased my pitcher plant.

There are many varieties of the pitcher plant. The pitcher plant I chose is a standing one. It's very colorful and can grow to about three feet tall. Right now it's only about six inches tall.

While there I saw some sensitive plants. I had one as a child and have been wanting another one for quite some time. So today was perfect for getting it.

With my two plants in tow I headed back home.
