Happy Summer solstice everyone. This year it fell on a Friday. Great day for a festivity.
I originally planned to have a Mediterranean/Middle Eastern style feast but I have so much to do I have not prepared for anything festive yet. I sent a text to the usual suspects to see if they wanted to do anything tomorrow and now I am just waiting for their replies. If they do not want to do anything I'll do something on my own. But first I have to take care of some yard work and some house work. When that is done I'll decide what to do next.
Maybe I'll go out for a night in the town. Maybe I'll hit my old stomping grounds. I dunno. Maybe I'll just stay home and feast by myself. I'm not sure what I'll do, but I'll do something to celebrate the Summer solstice.

This image was titled "Full Moon of June and the Summer Solstice. It's so appropriate for this occasion. We had a full moon on June 17, four days ago. And if you have read my entries regarding the full moon you'll know that it's ominous to me. And this time around it was no different. There's no doubt in my mind that some people are still reeling from its effects. Unfortunately for the poor saps they're probably clueless as to why they had their mishaps. Look up! That huge silver disc in the sky did it!
