Jury Duty Day

I had to report for jury duty this past Monday. I sat there as names were called. They were the people selected to go to the next step.

I was excited to discover that I wasn't selected. Since I had already taken the day off from work I had the rest of the day to myself.

I went to the estuary. The estuary used to be my backyard when I was growing up. Not literally, just figuratively. Actually, my entire neighborhood was my backyard. But anyway, I went to the estuary for a walk. I saw the boats and enjoyed the beautiful sunny day. There's a lighthouse restaurant there so I went in and sat at the bar. It's actually a restaurant and pub. I had a serving of fish-n-chips. Fish-n-chips go good with beer. So I had a large beer too. Me being Mexican-"American." I ate my chips with ketchup and not vinegar.

From there I went home. The rest of the day was uneventful. Pleasant but uneventful.
